Ground Beef Tacos

• Taco seasoning

• 1 tbsp chili powder
• 1 tsp ground cumin
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder
• 1/2 tsp onion powder
• 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
• 1/2 tsp dried oregano
• 3/4 tsp salt

• Tacos

• 1 tbsp vegetable oil
• 1 lb ground beef
• 1/2 cup tomato sauce (or 2 tbsp tomato paste plus water)
• 1/4 cup water
• 8 taco shells or small tortillas
• Shredded lettuce, diced tomato, shredded cheese, sour cream and salsa, for topping

1. 1Mix the seasoning spices in a small bowl.
2. 2Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef, breaking it up, 7–8 minutes. Spoon off most of the fat.
3. 3Stir in the seasoning for 30 seconds, then add the tomato sauce and water. Simmer 3–5 minutes until saucy but not wet.
4. 4Warm the shells or tortillas according to the package.
5. 5Fill with the beef and let everyone add their own toppings.
